+ Jesus offers us some very practical time-saving, stress-relieving
advice today: do not
make your treasures anything on earth because in addition to it never “being enough”
for you, it will change once you get it in your possession. It
will fade, and decay, it will rust and mold. It could be permanently “borrowed”
or stolen. No, do have treasure, but make
it of the spiritual nature and housed in heaven where it suffers not the
effects of natural decomposition and human greed.
Where you heart is will be
your treasure: make your friendship with God, and helping
others during the day, the chief desire of your heart, your treasure and God
will reveal himself to you more and more every day and you will see the depth
of the beauty of the gift he is giving you: and your heart will rejoice.
Blessed
are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
